Search in the City is proud to present the Shamrock Search Scavenger Hunt on Saturday, March 13, from 2 until 5 p.m. This competitive scavenger hunt is perfect for celebrating St. Patrick’s Day in a safe and fun way. Find all the hidden green shamrocks in your city or town first to win a basket full of goodies from local businesses!
Search in the City has partnered with over 20 small businesses across Raleigh, Cary, and Knightdale to make the Shamrock Search a fun and safe alternative for St. Patrick’s Day. In each city and town, there will be an undisclosed amount of shamrocks in storefront windows (no need to go inside) with a secret word. The scavenger hunter must find all the secret words by foot and car, jot the words down, form the words into a sentence, and turn in the correct answer. First, second, and third place will win a prize basket bursting with local treats, gift cards, and deals.
Scavenger hunters can purchase which hunt (Raleigh, Cary, or Knightdale) they want to be a part of online for $15 per team. At 2 p.m. on March 13, all registered scavenger hunters will receive the clues to the locations of the shamrocks via email and can immediately start their hunt.
The locations vary from bottle shops and tattoo parlors to libraries and children’s toy stores. For this reason, at least one person on the team must be at least 21 years old. In addition, the winning person/team must show proof of being 21 or older due to the contents in the prize baskets. We recommend this hunt for adults and adults with children that are comfortable with these venues.
