This one is for all my fellow hip-hop heads…mount up! On Saturday, August 12, 2023, the City of Raleigh Museum will be honoring the 50th Anniversary of Hip-Hop. This day of celebration will include an educational lecture series, classic car show, hip-hop karaoke, break-dancers, line dancing classes, and best of all the Hip-Hop Sneaker Ball. The block party is free and open to the public from 12 until 4 p.m. Then it is time to drop it like it’s hot at the Hip-Hop Sneaker Ball from 6 until 12 a.m.
