Sure, the Thanksgiving turkey usually gets first dibs on the holiday spotlight, but who’s to say we can’t get a little lit ahead of time?! On Saturday, Nov. 16, 2024, from 3 to 6 p.m., North Raleigh’s Lafayette Village is jump-starting the holiday cheer with their annual tree lighting ceremony. Enjoy live music, cozy horse and carriage rides, and a chance to rub elbows with the Enchanted Wishes holiday characters—think of them as Santa’s early scouts. The grand tree lighting goes down at 6 p.m. in the courtyard. So, throw on your best elf hat, pile the family into the sleigh, and head over for a festive kickoff that’ll have your heart glowing brighter than Rudolph’s nose!
