September 12: The Raleigh Night Market in City Market
Get your weekend started early at the Raleigh Night Market beginning at 5:30 p.m. today! Find locally-made goods and enjoy a night filled with music and entertainment with over 80 Triangle area artisans, food vendors, beer, wine, and cocktails.
September 14: Dram & Draught Grand Opening Celebration
Dram & Draught is celebrating being open at their new digs (One Glenwood Avenue, Suite 101) with an all-day party! They will have the NCSU vs. WVU game on the projector starting at noon, drink specials all day, and live music from DJ Nyce Danger from 6 until 8 p.m.
September 14: Triangle Hops for Hope at North Hills Midtown Park
26 teams. 24 breweries. One great event. This annual event showcases 26 corporate teams and 24 of the best local breweries, along with their original beers made just for this competition. Guests get to taste them all and vote for their favorite to win the People’s Choice Award. Expert judges, the participating brewers, and the event committee also vote on specific categories for even more awards and fun prizes. Several local bands will perform on stage, food trucks will be on-site, along with a trendy vendor village.
September 14: Iron Chef Challenge at Midtown Farmers’ Market
The notorious Iron Chef Challenge returns to Midtown Farmers’ Market this Saturday at 8 a.m. and some of our favorite North Hills’ restaurants are participating.
Top local chefs from Mia Francesca, Kings Dining & Entertainment, and Mura will compete for the title of “Iron Chef.” Just like the popular TV show, watch chefs create culinary masterpieces using limited resources, secret ingredients and fresh market finds.
September 15: A Napa Wine Dinner at Plates Neighborhood Kitchen
Plates Kitchen is proud to welcome you to a very unique experience! Chef Jake Wood and Certified Sommelier Matt Arnold have teamed up to provide one incredible dinner showcasing the backbone of American Viticulture, Napa Valley. Four courses, nine wines, in addition to a cocktail hour! Come see why Napa Valley is such a special place and why it has captivated the curious and the thirsty for generations.
September 15: Dinner & a Movie at Mandolin Farm
Mandolin Farm is hosting their first dinner and a movie night on Sunday featuring Ferris Bueller’s Day Off! They will have a burger bar with hamburgers, burger dogs, veggie burgers, farm fresh sides, gourmet popcorn, wine, and beer. Dinner begins at 6:30 p.m, movie at 7:45 p.m. Bring your own chairs or blankets. Tickets are $39 per person and include food, tea, lemonade, and gratuity. Wine, beer, and sodas sold separately.
Don’t Worry, There is a Festival This Weekend too: SPARKcon
September is festival season in Raleigh and SPARKcon is taking over the Raleigh Warehouse District this weekend. With a motto like “we’re here, we’re weird, it’s awesome”, you know it is going to be a great time!
SPARKcon is the Triangle’s creativity festival. It uses an open-source planning process so that everyone can join the party and showcase their unique talents. Come out this weekend to enjoy more than 2,000 artists in 200+ events.
