It’s the second week of our Friday Five and we are bringing the heat as the weather is cooling off! Let’s face it, we all need something to look forward to right now, so we have chosen the five things we are excited about this upcoming week + a little giveaway from our friends at The Lash Lounge Raleigh ITB. It’s time to raise a glass to all things Raleigh… Weekend!
Get ready to FALL in love with new cocktails at one of our favorite Downtown Raleigh spots! The weather has finally cooled down enough that Mulino Italian Kitchen & Bar figured it was a great time to release their fall cocktails! They have got some fun flavors in store for you this season, as well as some clever names that they think you all will appreciate.
Mulino bartender Lorenzo Cyril created their new drinks in such a way that they would complement the flavors coming out of the kitchen, particularly the red sauce pasta dishes that they are so known for in their garden of gastronomy. Mulino has broken down their new seasonal menu into different flavor profiles so that whether you’re a fan of boozy drinks or sweet selections, you’ll be able to find something you know you’ll enjoy.
DINE OUT. GIFT UP. Local restaurants need your support more than ever.
Downtown Raleigh Restaurant Week is a great time to support all your beloved places—and discover new ones. This year, the Downtown Raleigh Alliance has reimagined the event, giving you more ways to celebrate Downtown Raleigh’s award-winning cuisine and go-to favs.
- Dine out at designated restaurant seating.
- Take it to go and create your own ambiance.
- Pick up a gift card and keep a great meal in your back pocket (or get one for a friend).
DRA is also hosting Dine Out Downtown on the two Saturdays during Restaurant Week, October 3 and 10 from 5 – 9 p.m. They will be closing Fayetteville Street (Morgan Street to Davie Street), Hargett Street (Wilmington Street to Salisbury Street), and Martin Street (Wilmington Street to Salisbury Street). The streets will be decorated with lights and art and will have tables and chairs where you can enjoy your restaurant takeout and expanded outdoor dining spaces. Free parking in city lots will be available on Wilmington Street.
The Carolina Hurricanes Yard Sale will take over the floor of PNC Arena and features merchandise markdowns up to 75% off, new and game-used hockey equipment, autographed collectibles, exclusive memorabilia, and more.
Friday, October 3, is for season ticket holders and Saturday, October 4, is open to the general public.
As if we needed another reason to enjoy tacos and beer – Sunday is National Taco Day! Head to Raleigh Beer Garden for $3 tacos all day paired with beers from Bell’s Brewery.
The first Monday in October just got a lot more fun. The one and only Kevin Barrett is hosting a tequila tasting on Monday at 8 p.m. Choose to join virtually or in-person at Dram & Draught to taste three different tequilas and learn how to create three different tequila cocktails. Tickets are $19 to join virtually or $49 to get out of your house and join them in the bar. Cheers!
