Hitting that Wednesday afternoon slump is practically a local tradition. Let’s ditch the hump day blues starting Wednesday, June 24, 2026, with the launch of the Midweek Mix at The Exchange Park. This free, six-week outdoor concert series brings high-energy live tunes to Midtown every week through July 29, kicking off the summer lineup with the genre-blending Appalachian rock sounds of Big Daddy Love.
The park bars open at 5:30 p.m. with Crank Arm Brewing pouring beer, wine, and cider, right before the main show starts at 6 p.m. While outside food and alcohol are a no-go, you can easily grab dinner from stellar onsite spots like Mezcalito, Toastique, and Peregrine. The series is completely family-friendly, runs rain or shine, and offers plenty of free parking—just remember to bring your own lawn chair and leave the umbrellas at home.

This is your official workplace escape hatch right in the middle of the week, but be sure to keep an eye on those Thursday morning work commitments if you’re hitting the snooze button a few extra times the next morning.
