It’s a heavy time in America right now, but we hope you’re able to enjoy a break from it all during the long holiday weekend. If you’re staying in town this July Fourth, we’ve got a host of fun activities for you to enjoy—from fireworks (naturally) to concerts to First Friday events downtown. And four lucky winners of our Spa Month giveaway will also get to enjoy some pampering this weekend courtesy of our favorite local spas! (Congrats Phyllis W., Janice M., Deborah M., and Debbie M.!)
But First… We Know You Could Use a Refreshing Boozy Beverage
Another month, another giveaway! We know how hot it is in Raleigh during the summer, so this month we’re doing a fun adult drinks contest—because what’s better than keeping cool and boozin’ up?! Enter our contest to win a $25 gift card to one of our favorite local bars.
THE Drink of the Summer Is Back
It wouldn’t be summer without 10th & Terrace’s boozy pops! This year’s are made with pomegranate vodka and white sangria and are served with your choice of Truly Berry Seltzer or Risata Pink Moscato. Cheers!
Baby You’re a Firework 🎆
Make your Fourth of July go off with a bang via Raleigh’s July Fourth Fireworks Celebration at Dix Park! There will be music, games, and fun before the main event kicks off at 9:30 p.m. BYO food, nonalcoholic beverages, and a blanket!
It’s the First First Friday of the Summer!
Celebrate summer the best way we Raleighites know how, by heading to downtown for First Friday on July 1! Art galleries and studios will be open late with rotating exhibits and artist talks; restaurants will be offering special discounts; Moore Square is hosting a movie night; Taverna Agora will be celebrating Greek food, sounds, and culture through its monthly Greek Night; and more!
Hey, Soul Sister 🎶
“Calling all angels!” Train has hit the road after dropping their 11th studio album, “AM Gold,” with a tour stop in Raleigh on Friday, July 1, at Walnut Creek (with special guests Jewel and Blues Traveler)!
Get Your Game On 🎮
The Apex Legends Global Series Year Two Championship is coming to PNC Arena July 7–10, and spectators are being welcomed back after a two-year hiatus! Get tickets to watch as teams from each of the ALGS’ five regions compete for the title of global champion.
Friday Five: It’s Summa Summa Summatime! 🌞
The countdown to summer has officially begun (the first day is Tuesday, June 21!), and I, personally, could not be more excited for beach days, late nights, al fresco hangs, and everything in between! And the summer fun starts this weekend. Grab an ice cream at Videri, treat dad to brunch at Midtown Grille, celebrate Juneteenth at Dix Park, or go on a day trip. Just remember to wear some sunscreen—it’s hot out there!
