We are not wishing June away but we want to go ahead and get this event on your calendar! The No Woman, No Girl Initiative is hosting its inaugural Community Day on Saturday, June 11! Community Day will be filled with free food, small businesses, music, health assessments, and fun.
Friday Five: MDW Edition
Sticking around Raleigh this Memorial Day Weekend? There’s plenty still happening if you’re staying in town. There are also so many fun events happening next week to cure your post-long weekend blues but before we get to the fun, there is something I want to be sure to mention.
I had a hard time writing about all of these fun things with the events that happened this week and with Monday being Memorial Day. I want to take a moment to remember and honor those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. I hope you take some time this weekend to do something that brings you joy whether you are in Raleigh or out of town.

Head to the Park Pop-Up at NCMA
Head out to the new Welcome Center at The North Carolina Museum of Art for their Park Pop-Up. This new facility in the park has restrooms, water fountains, food, and retail items available. They know how much you all love to bring your dogs to the park, so they are bringing out some vendors for the pups on Saturday, May 28, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.!
The Day Party Happening at Junction West
The Day Party: Raleigh’s Feel Good Party returns to one of my favorite spots, Junction West, on Sunday, May 29, at 3 p.m. This month’s Day Party will feature DJs k.ward (also a favorite), Jermainia, Miss Ashley, and Drkmttr. There will be food and market pop-ups, too!
Wine and Design or Beer if You Choose…
Don’t let the post-long weekend blues get in the way of having a great week! Lonerider Five Points is hosting Wine and Design (and beer if you so choose) on Tuesday, May 31, at 7 p.m.
Did Someone Say Pink Party?
This event isn’t happening until Thursday, June 2, but I had to go ahead and share! Seaboard Wine is hosting its first PINK PARTY in three years! Enjoy nine rosé wines and light snacks in a casual tasting format. Get your tickets before they sell out.
