Women’s History Month Highlight: Downtown Raleigh Edition
March is Women’s History Month, dedicated to commemorating and encouraging the study, observance, and celebration of the vital role of women in American history. Our team looks forward to highlighting some of our favorite female-led businesses and local events this month. This week I want to share this awesome list of Downtown Raleigh’s Women-Owned Businesses from Downtown Raleigh Alliance that you should check out.
Shoutout to our girl Ashley at Salon Veritas for making this amazing list!
Friday Five: Get Lucky This Weekend ☘️
St. Patrick’s Day may still be just under a week away but lucky for you, Raleigh is always ready for a party, and the celebrations start this Saturday. Don your best green attire—you do not want to get pinched—and maybe a lucky charm or two… It’s time for your Friday Five!
But First… Where Are You Watching the Game? 🏀
We have lots of St. Patrick’s Day content coming your way this week but that does not mean we won’t be cheering on our fave local schools as they battle it out in the ACC Tournament. Our spot for games is Bru’s Public House and we’re going to treat one lucky winner to a $25 gift card to experience it on us.
Top of the Morning to You ☘️
We never recommend getting up early on a Saturday, unless it is for a parade! The Raleigh St. Patrick’s Day Parade kicks off Downtown at 10 a.m. Grab that green, put a little something Irish in your coffee, and settle in for a great show!
Keep the Luck Going 🍻
The St. Patrick’s weekend fun is not over after the parade. Instead of going home, head to Raleigh Beer Garden for live bands, bagpipers, eight bars, bites, and more!
Paw-rents, You Need a Night Out 🐶
On Saturday, March 12, leave your pups at home and enjoy a well-deserved paw-rents night out! Lonerider at Five Points will be offering a beagle-themed menu and, of course, BeagleJuice! 10% of all sales will go to support Triangle Beagle Rescue.
Beer, Oysters, Po’Boys, and Cider… Need I Say More? 🦪
On Sunday, March 13, from 1-5 p.m. Locals Seafood will host their eighth annual Winter Seafood Jubilee at Trophy Brewing Maywood. The Jubilee will feature roasted oysters, catfish po’boys, cider from Botanist and Barrel, and the launch of the Oyster Nipper Gosé!
