In honor of Women’s History Month, Raleigh Magazine is shining a spotlight on exceptional Raleigh females over a plethora of industries each week. This week, they are highlighting some of the resilient females in Raleigh’s hospitality industry who have continued to prove that women can really do it all—while keeping local residents and visitors alike delightfully satiated.
Friday Five: Oh Hey, Warm Weather, We Missed You
Patios all around Raleigh are calling our name and there is so much to look forward to this weekend! First Friday, battle of the blues, fundraisers, and more, so let’s not waste any more time. Grab your coffee or crack a beer (we can help with that), we don’t judge. It is time for your Friday Five!
But First… We Have Your March Madness Necessities
March Madness is almost here and we have teamed up with our friends at Lonerider at Five Points to give away everything you need to enjoy a game at home. Register to win a growler of your choice of beer from Lonerider and an order of their wings. Choose between hot, mild, or Sweet Josie Honey Teriyaki.
Hey Mariah, We Have Your Blowout and Bubbles
In February we gave away a blowout from Ashley McCauley at Salon Veritas in Downtown Raleigh and a bottle of bubbles and Mariah was our lucky winner. We hope you love your new do!
Sad you did not win this one? As The Weekend says, “save your tears for another day.” If you entered our February contest, keep an eye on your email for a special offer, coming from Salon Veritas, just for you!
Friday, Mar. 5: First Friday Raleigh
Venture to Fayetteville Street this First Friday to enjoy local artist Robin Vuchnich’s one-of-a-kind projection on view at One Exchange Plaza. This animated projection is a celebration of the emergence of Spring as our city leaves this challenging winter behind us. The installation will be on display in the evenings of March 5 and 6 and March 12 and 13 from 7 until 9 p.m.
Saturday, Mar. 6: St. Baldrick’s Fundraiser at Raleigh Beer Garden
Eat, drink, and donate at Raleigh Beer Garden on Saturday from noon until 9 p.m. Order from the St. Baldrick’s menu that includes food, beer, and a specialty cocktail. A $1 donation for each specialty menu item ordered benefits St. Baldrick’s. There will be live music and more, all helping raise money for St. Baldrick’s children’s cancer research. They cannot shave heads this year but they can still raise money! We hope to see you there.
Where Are You Watching the Battle of the Blues?
The Tar Heels take on the Blue Devils on Saturday at 6 p.m. and with lessened COVID-19 restrictions, you can enjoy the game at one of our favorite bars!
