Big Park Adventures and Stories with Blubobobobo on FriYAY

It’s hard to believe, but Gipson Play Plaza at Dorothea Dix Park is already celebrating its first birthday. To mark the occasion on Friday, June 5, 2026, the park is bringing back a fan-favorite storyteller from its grand opening: the one and only Blubobobobo.

Drop by the House of Many Porches 10 a.m.-4 p.m. during the day for a whimsical, drop-in storytime packed with tales of nature and mythical quests. It’s the perfect excuse to soak up those unbeatable downtown Raleigh skyline views while letting the little ones run wild on the playground.
