Local rhythm expert Greg Whitt—founder of the Raleigh Drum Circle—is hosting an intimate, beginner-friendly percussion workshop right in Midtown. You’ll get hands-on experience learning folkloric traditions from Puerto Rico, Cuba, and Brazil on everything from congas and bongos to maracas and chekeres.

Don’t stress if you don’t think you have rhythm; absolutely no prior experience is required, and all traditional instruments are provided for the session. It’s a high-energy, low-pressure way for adults and teens to shake off Monday stress and connect with local music lovers.
