It’s time to see our local leaders in a whole new light at Wake On Stage! on Friday, April 17, 2026. Hosted at the Fuquay-Varina Arts Center, this isn’t your typical stuffy fundraiser. The evening kicks off with a social hour featuring heavy hors d’oeuvres and an open bar, giving you a chance to mingle before the main event moves into the theatre for a variety show like no other.

The lineup is honestly a riot: we’re talking WRAL’s Chris Michaels on the drums, Wake County Commissioners jamming with jazz artist Shana Tucker, and even former Commissioner Sig Hutchinson attempting “The World’s Greatest Magic Trick.” From monologues by school superintendents to trumpet solos from the Mayor of Fuquay-Varina, it’s a high-energy celebration of the people who keep Wake County running—only this time, they’re trading policy for performances.
