Class is officially in session this Friday, June 5, 2026, as School of Rock kicks off its high-voltage run at Raleigh Little Theatre. Based on the hit Paramount movie, the musical follows Dewey Finn, a failed, wannabe rock star who poses as a substitute teacher at a prestigious prep school. Instead of grading papers, he secretly turns his straight-A students into a guitar-shredding, bass-slapping rock band ready to conquer the Battle of the Bands.
Featuring new music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and directed by Susannah Hough, this feel-good production is a total anthem about breaking the rules and raising your voice. It’s the perfect excuse to head over to the Rose Garden neighborhood for a night of pure, energetic fun, running all the way through late June if you can’t sneak away for opening weekend.
