On Thursday, Trade the Fairway for the Bay at This Virtual Golf Tournament

Forget the traditional sit-down fundraiser; this one lets you aggressively chunk a golf ball into a net while hanging out with friends.

The Jack Andrews Memorial Golf Tournament and Family Fun Night tees off on Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2026, combining friendly competition with a great evening out at West Raleigh’s Drive Shack. Whether you are bringing the family, hosting clients, or challenging your office team, the event features a three-hole tournament on world-class virtual courses with plenty of prizes on the line.

Not much of a golfer? You can still grab a meal-only package to enjoy the catered dinner, sip a beverage, and heckle your friends’ terrible swings. It is the perfect, low-pressure way to enjoy the perks of the driving range without the stress of keeping score. The fundraiser, hosted by North Raleigh Rotary, benefits youth programs, scholarships and other community service projects in honor of the late Jack Andrews.

Jack graduated from Broughton High School and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. After his discharge, he earned a degree in mechanical engineering from NC State in 1950. He continued his military service in the Air Force Reserve, retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel in 1987.​ Jack spent many years in engineering with N.C. Products, contributing to projects like the Beaufort drawbridge and the NC State tunnel.​ A founding member and past president of the North Raleigh Rotary Club, Jack was honored with the Lifetime Rotary Dedication Award in 2008. Rotary was central to his life, and he lived by the Four-Way Test principles of truth, fairness, goodwill, and benefit to all.​A devoted member of the Raleigh Golf Association, Jack’s love for the game led him to start the annual North Raleigh Rotary Golf Tournament, which continues in his honor.
