I don’t live with a basset hound… but I would absolutely show up to admire a pack of them.

If you, too, appreciate soulful eyes, dramatic ears, and a confident waddle, the Basset Hound Meetup at Dix Park is happening this Saturday, Feb. 28, 2026.

Hosted by Lindsey Hogge and NC Triangle Basset Meetup, this gathering brings together basset parents (and their delightfully low-slung companions) for an afternoon of sniffing, sunbathing, zoomies, and general hound-level joy.
