There is nothing quite like settling onto a cozy blanket under the Downtown Raleigh skyline to kick off the first weekend of spooky month! 👻

Grab your favorite lawn chair and head downtown on Friday, Oct. 2, 2026, for a spooky and nostalgic First Friday Market & Movie Night. Get 2 Know Raleigh and the Raleigh Parks team are transforming Moore Square into the ultimate outdoor theater featuring the 1984 classic, “Ghostbusters”.

The evening kicks off with a bustling market full of local vendors and food trucks at 5 p.m., followed by free live music to set the mood at 5:30 p.m.. The main event starts rolling on the big screen right around 7:17 p.m., but the lawn fills up quickly, so you will want to claim your patch of grass early.
