After being postponed due to January’s winter weather, one of the Triangle’s most meaningful family-friendly cultural events is back on the calendar.
The 25th Annual African American Cultural Celebration (AACC) returns on Saturday, Feb. 28, 2026, at the North Carolina Museum of Art. This vibrant, free festival brings together community members, artists, authors, musicians, filmmakers, scholars, and cultural organizations to honor the rich contributions of African Americans to North Carolina’s history and culture.
Activities include engaging demonstrations, inspiring presentations, dynamic performances, storytelling, educational panels, and hands-on cultural experiences for visitors of all ages. It’s a powerful way to celebrate Black History Month while connecting with history, art, music, and community in downtown Raleigh.
