On Thirsty Thursday, Support the Kay Yow Cancer Fund at the Wine and Brew Walk
Stroll over to Cary to sip and shop because Waverly Place is a proud partner of the Kay Yow Cancer Fund. Make a ticket donation for the Wine & Brew Walk on Thursday, March 30, beginning at 5 p.m., sponsored in cooperation with Johnson Subaru of Cary, and as a thank you, participating Waverly Place merchants will treat you to a sampling of red, white, and sparkling wines and craft beers to sip as you stroll and shop during our event. 100% of your $25 ticket donation goes directly to the Kay Yow Cancer Fund.
Hot Ticket Alert: 34th Annual Oakwood Garden Tour – April 15-16, 2023
While this event is still quite a few weeks away, I’m giving you a heads-up this week so you can buy your tickets now and not miss out on the garden spectacular featuring local flower beds, local bites and sips, and even your own personal fascinator, if you’re so inclined. (Pinkies up!)
Historic Oakwood is well-known for its lovingly restored historic homes, which are featured on its annual December Candlelight Tour, however, the gardens surrounding these homes are equally welcoming and lovely. Just as each home has its own personality, so do their gardens. The 34th Annual Oakwood Garden Tour, sponsored by the Oakwood Garden Club, is Saturday, April 15, and Sunday, April 16. The private gardens open on this year’s walking tour range from small, intimate patio settings to large gardens and even include a babbling pond.
Friday Five: TL;DR Version
I’ve kept this week’s edition short and to the point for y’all because I’m sure like our team is, many of you are ready to get things started in anticipation of this weekend’s Stadium Series happenings! But please, don’t forget to register to win a month’s pass to Row House Midtown, which happens to be my favorite current investment in myself. (And as Before Breakfast host and Tranquility by Tuesday Laura Vanderkam author insists, anything that happens three times a week is a habit, so I guess I’m finally a workout person. Let’s row, Raleigh!)
