Swap out your graphite for hot glue and yarn this weekend for a whole new take on sketching.
If your creative routine has felt a bit flat lately, it might be time to take your drawings into three dimensions. On Saturday, Oct. 10, local artist Linette Knight is hosting a hands-on fiber drawing workshop at Artspace in Downtown Raleigh. Open to participants ages 16 and up, this four-hour session trades traditional pencils for yarn and glue to help you craft textured, line-driven compositions on canvas.
Whether you prefer working freehand or using stencils, you will learn how to manipulate fiber to build depth, shading, and rich contours. No prior drawing or fiber experience is necessary, making it a stress-free way to expand your creative practice and leave with an original artwork ready to hang in your home or studio.
